From the very first day I knew it would be beneficial to take the course, and knew the impacts of technology on education. I am so happy I took the course and am very fortunate to have learned what I did. I feel comfortable doing things I had no idea to do, and it makes me excited thinking of all of the things I could do when I am finally a teacher. Technology has without a doubt enhanced all aspects of our lives, but most importantly, education.
I still go by what I wrote on the first day, but I know there is still so much out there that I can learn. It's just taking the time to explore everything and search for the tools, which I have no problem doing. I remember coming home from class the first couple of times we met with the biggest headache. I was a bit overwhelmed with the things we were doing, but I know it just took for me to work and play with the tools more to become comfortable, as it is with essentially anything. Those headaches quit pretty quickly though.
I loved seeing the projects that were completed by Mr. Holman's seventh grade students. I was completely astounded and amazed that what I was looking at was done by someone so young. The projects were creative and had great depth to them. It showed that technology enhanced their learning experience, and showed that they really enjoyed what they put into the project. Seeing those actually really excited me.
The best part about the whole course was not only what I learned, but the fact we did this blog and I can go back and look at the things we did and how we did them if needed. I can see myself keeping up on this blog. I'm very happy I took this course and found all of the different networking sites to keep updated with education and different tools!
